(Main Contractor Graham Construction)

The construction of a new building, a prominent feature of which is the 660 m2 of Eternit Textura Rainscreen to the external façades. There is also 260m2 of Trespa Athlon to the internal walls of the gymnasium.

The challenge here was to provide within the cost constraints, a façade fixed to a variety of backup wall constructions that would enable the architect to achieve the aesthetics he was looking for. The initial concept involved both mechanical secret and face fix systems. This was not ideal considering the backup walls and the appearance required. Working closely with Eternit the architect and the main contractor AJ Cladding developed a façade design utilising an adhesive fix system. This enabled the architect to achieve the aesthetics required with the added bonus of a full face fixing free façade.
